The 2023 LaserNetUS Users’ Meeting will be held in person at University of Maryland in College Park, MD from June 27-29, 2023.  Located near Washington D.C., participants can take advantage of the conference's proximity to historical landmarks, museums, and the beautiful cityscape of the nation's capital. This meeting marks the 5th anniversary of LaserNetUS and we look forward to highlighting the scientific achievements of the network. In light of the recent breakthrough in Inertial Confinement Fusion (ICF), we will also discuss how LaserNetUS can take a leading role in addressing the outstanding science and technology questions related to commercialization of Inertial Fusion Energy (IFE).

We encourage all users who have participated or are interested in experiments at LaserNetUS facilities to attend this meeting and share an update on or results from their research projects. During the meeting, presentations will focus a wide-range of high-energy-density experiments, simulations and high repetition rate diagnostics development as well as future research directions. It will consist of a variety of sessions, including plenary talks from leading experts, a panel discussion about collaborations and creating diverse and inclusive research environments, and breakout sessions where users can share their experiences and provide feedback on their experiments. There will be two poster sessions during the conference, where users can showcase their research and interact with other attendees in an informal setting. In addition, this meeting offers a variety of social activities, including a reception on June 28, 2023 and a student networking event sponsored by the private fusion industry. These events provide an excellent opportunity for attendees to converse and discuss.

We are pleased to announce that travel support is available for students and postdocs who wish to attend and present at our upcoming meeting. Successful undergraduate applicants will be provided with full travel support.
