Influence of Thermal Spread on Space-Charge Limiting Current

The effect of thermal spread in pitch angle on the limiting current of an electron beam is calculated. The downstream beam parameters are also evaluated. At the limiting current the downstream value of the pitch angle and the downstream thermal spread are found to be sensitive to the initial thermal spread.
