BACKGROUND
Dr. Todd Elder received a Ph.D in Applied Physics from Columbia University in 2023. He is currently a DOE Fusion Energy Sciences Fellow working jointly with Dr. Matt Landreman of IREAP at the University of Maryland and Professor Per Helander of the Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics in Greifswald, Germany.
RESEARCH INTERESTS
Dr. Elder has research interests in three-dimensional magnetic fields, stellarator and stellarator coil optimization, and magnetic reconnection.
