Dr. Mandal received a Ph.D. in physics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India in 2015. She joined the Department of Physics, University of Maryland in 2016 and worked with Professor Richard L. Greene. Presently she is working jointly with Prof. Richard L. Greene, Prof. Johnpierre Paglione in the Department of Physics, and Prof. Oded Rabin in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering and the Institute for Research in Electronics and Applied Physics of the University of Maryland, College Park. Dr. Pampa has a broad research interest in the field of thermal transport and thermoelectric properties study of different quantum materials. She is also working on heat flux sensing devices.
