Tom Antonsen Named Distinguished University Professor


This year Prof. Tom Antonsen has been named a Distinguished University Professor. The title of Distinguished University Professor is the highest academic honor bestowed by our University and is conferred to a very limited number of our most acclaimed and preeminent faculty campus-wide.  He is being recognized for his fundamental contributions to the related fields of plasma physics, charged particle beam research, and nonlinear dynamics.

Other IREAP faculty who hold the title of Distinguished University Professor are Profs. Ott, Drake and Rubloff.
