Prof. Gottlieb Oehrlein and team cultivate a way to decontaminate raw produce using plasma science


In a paper titled “Decontamination of raw produce by surface microdischarge and the evaluation of its damage to cellular components”Professor Gottlieb Oehrlein and his reseach team curate a viable method of sterilizing food produce by the use of plasma. This paper, which is published in Plasma Processes and Polymers, introduces readers to this sterilization method and provides an extensive evaluation of the technique.
